K-os at the ‘Disco’

Where some hip-hop artists write club bangers, Canadian rapper k-os has written hymns for his third album. ATLANTIS – Hymns for Disco, set for an early 2007 U.S. release, harkens back to old school hip-hop styles with classic breakbeat loops, and it features guest vocals from Kevin Drew of Broken Social Scene and Sam Roberts (“Valhalla”). Other tracks include the retro-soul “The Rain,” the old-school rhyme-centric “ELEctrik HeaT – the seekwiLL,” and closer “ballad of Noah,” which features fellow Canuck Buck 65.
