Milli Vanilli Film in Works

Universal Pictures will produce a film chronicling the tumultuous career of impostor pop sensations Milli Vanilli, Daily Variety reports. The as-yet-untitled film will be helmed by writer and director Jeff Nathanson, who previously worked on Catch Me if You Can, a film depicting actor Leonardo DiCaprio as a sly conman. “I’ve always been fascinated by the notion of fakes and frauds, and in this case, you have guys who pulled off the ultimate con, selling 30 millions singles and 11 million albums and then becoming the biggest laughing stocks of pop entertainment,” Nathanson told Daily Variety.

Milli Vanilli alumnus Fabrice Morvan is behind the forthcoming film, along with the estate of deceased member Rob Pilatus, who died from a drug and alcohol overdose in 1998.
