System of a Down Announces U.S. Tour

On the heels of their May release, Mesmerize, System of a Down will kick off a full-fledged arena tour of North America in Long Beach, Calif., on August 4. The Armenian boys played a few small clubs as part of a “guerilla tour” when the album first came out, and are currently touring Europe. The Mars Volta and Bad Acid Trip are slated to open. Only some of the projected dates have been scheduled, so System fans shouldn’t get their long beards in a twist if System hasn’t scheduled a date in their city yet.
