New York's Polo-sporting pop masters Vampire Weekend are back, and they're dipping their ladle even deeper into a mishmash of cross-cultural influences on "Horchata," the first official release from their forthcoming sophomore set, Contra (out Jan. 12 via XL Recordings).

Now here's a reason to unearth your boat shoes and Polo shirts this winter: New York City-based Columbia grads Vampire Weekend have announced via their website that the foursome's second album, entitled Contra, will drop January 12, 2010 via XL Records.
