lesser mortal

I'm a teacher at home on medical sabbatical due to my epilepsy. I've got two beautiful, smart, talented daughters, (and I can prove it!) and was lucky enough to be married to my best friend and the only man I ever felt was worth it, though he was killed in March of '07. I'm also lucky enough to have three great step-kids who visit regularly. I get to sing AND get paid for it--can't beat that with a stick. I've written stories and been paid for that. I've acted and been paid for that. I'm writing a book that my daughters and their friends are frantic for me to finish because they 'want to know what happens!' There have been some hard times. But they could have been much worse and I keep hearing my husband's voice in my head saying, "You're gonna fly!" And I know that I will. I am a happy, grateful human being.
