As we suspected, Pavement's four-night stand in September 2010 in New York's Central Park will not be the reunited indie band's inaugural live performances.

Since he broke onto the scene with 2002's Faces Down, Norwegian-born singer/songwriter Sondre Lerche has been adored for his conversational live shows and his sweet-sounding but nuanced pop songcraft. At his recent stop at SPIN's NYC office, he showed off loads of both.

While the dashing French first couple -- President Nicolas Sarkozy and his model/singer wife Carla Bruni -- were referred to as the hottest Gallic import in New York City last week, several thousand music fans in Central Park would beg to differ.
