Arcade Fire Perform ‘Hot Hot Hot’ With Buster Poindexter in Brooklyn

Arcade Fire Buster Poindexter Brooklyn Hot Hot Hot Cover

On Friday night, Arcade Fire invited former New York Dolls frontman David Johansen onstage at their Brooklyn concert to perform a cover of the singer’s hit song as Buster Poindexter, “Hot Hot Hot.” Though the Grammy winning Reflektor band has been keeping audiences entertained with new covers every night throughout their current tour run, like the Pixies’ “Alec Eiffel” and Fugazi’s “Waiting Room,” this is the first time they’ve invited a song’s original musician to perform with them this year. Interestingly enough, “Poindexter” has a Facebook page on which Johansen announced early Friday morning that he’d be playing with Arcade Fire. Check out some Instagram pictures and videos of tonight’s “Hot Hot Hot” performance below, as well as Poindexter’s original music video from 1987.
