Hear Puff Daddy’s Lost Smashing Pumpkins Remix From 1998

billy corgan smashing pumpkins ava adore diddy remix

In what will surely be forever known as the ultimate Throwback Thursday move, today the Smashing Pumpkins shared a long-lost remix of their song “Ava Adore” done by Puff Daddy in 1998. The artist formerly known as Diddy layers record-scratching and synthesizers on top of Billy Corgan’s original brooding production, resulting in a four on the floor redux. “Ava Adore” is set to appear on the Pumpkins next reissue, a seven-disc re-release of Adore that’s due September 23 and will also include some demos by Corgan and Rick Rubin, as well as live recordings. Stream the remix via Rolling Stone and stay tuned for next year’s new Smashing Pumpkins album, Monuments to an Elegy.
