Iggy Azalea and Rita Ora Recreate ‘Kill Bill’ for ‘Black Widow’ Video

Iggy Azalea Rita Ora Black Widow Music Video

Iggy Azalea has clearly been bitten by the movie bug: following a “Fancy” music video in which the Australian rapper did a shot-for-shot Clueless remake in under four minutes, she now dives back into the celluloid vault for a Kill Bill inspired “Black Widow” treatment. The song hails from her debut album, The New Classic, of course, and the clip gives British pop guest Rita Ora a starring role. Azalea’s mentor T.I. makes an appearance added clout, while we follow the doings of a waitress named Iggy Iggs who extensively fantasizes about murdering an aggressively rude diner. Jet black spandex catsuits, motorcycle chases, and surprisingly intricate swordplay abound. Clearly Island Def Jam spared no expense on the visual, which pops with the color of something usually seen on a big screen and actually sports a compelling mini-narrarive that fits the song’s lyrics perfectly — something that is often lost in many of today’s music videos.

Azalea and Ora will team again for a “Black Widow” performance at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards on August 24.
