Here’s something that should cheer up #sadJackWhite. The vinyl enthusiast broke first week vinyl sales records back in June with the release of his sophomore solo album Lazaretto, but as Billboard reports, that LP has passed another benchmark. Currently sitting at number 27 on the overall charts, the album has now sold over 60,000 copies of its vinyl edition making it the best-selling vinyl LP of this year and the best-selling of any year since Pearl Jam’s Vitalogy in 1994. The next biggest-selling record this year is Arctic Monkeys’ AM, which at 29,000 isn’t even in the same neighborhood as the ex-White Stripe’s numbers.
