M83 mastermind Anthony Gonzalez has been busy lately soundtracking blockbuster dystopian adventures and french orgies, but the good people at Mute are planning to help satiate our desire for epic synthpop on August 25 with a reissue of M83’s first three albums. As a reward for our waiting so patiently for his highly anticipated next album, Gonzales has now shared a previously unreleased video for “Lower Your Eyelids to Die With the Sun,” the closing track from 2005’s Before the Dawn Heals Us. The eight-minute clip posted to Buzzfeed was originally created to screen at the group’s Hollywood Bowl show in September 2013. In it, the camera cuts between footage of crash-test dummies and a couple in a car accident beautifully soaring through the air into whatever abstract, infinite cosmos await us after life (ask Flying Lotus about that).
