Mac DeMarco Copes With Fans and Franks Because ‘Salad Days Are Gone’

It’s only been a little over a year since Mac DeMarco released his third full-length Salad Days, but he hasn’t exactly taken his sweet time with its follow-up. Deeming his next venture a “mini album” comprised of seven tracks and one instrumental, Another One arrives August 7 via Captured Tracks. To promote the release and his upcoming matching mini-tour of New York City, the Viceroy enthusiast held a barbecue on Wednesday (July 8), giving out elegantly named “Ass Passes” that allow 100 lucky fans to full access of his four-night stint at various venues in August. SPIN chronicled in photos DeMarco hold court over a small grill in Bushwick outside freshly-opened bar Our Wicked Lady, while he grilled — and copiously sweated over — scrumptious hot dogs and elated, selfie-seeking fans.
