St. Vincent has recorded a cover of the Rolling Stones’ “Emotional Rescue” (from their 1980 album of the same name) for the forthcoming movie A Bigger Splash starring Tilda Swinton and Ralph Fiennes. Produced by Top Dawg Entertainment‘s in-house producer Mark Spears, a.k.a. Sounwave, Annie Clark’s cover has her emulating the Stones’ original funk tones via pitchy vocals, heady bass, and honking horn accents.
