Usher, Brittany Howard, and Demi Lovato Among Performers at White House Ray Charles Tribute

Last night, President Barack Obama had a couple friends over to his place to honor the memory of the late great Ray Charles. Performers at the All-Star gala included Usher (who performed “Georgia on My Mind”), the Band Perry (“Bye Bye Love”), Leon Bridges (“Lonely Avenue”), and an all-star lineup of Demi Lovato, Brittany Howard, Yolanda Adams, and Andra Day (“Heaven Help Us All”). The entire cast came back out at the end for a celebration of Charles’ signature number “What’d I Say,” and the President himself offered some words of his own.

Watch the entire tribute here, via PBS and the White House, starting at 1:26:48. The concert event will air on PBS this Friday.
