Where were you when you first heard that Ariana Grande was dating Saturday Night Live‘s Pete Davidson, and were you reading the May 18 Bossip headline, “Did Ariana Grande Dump Mac Miller to Let THIS SNL Actor Chop Her 4 Octave Cakes to Smithereens?” Hold onto your cakes, because approximately one month later, Us Weekly and TMZ now report that the happy couple are engaged, and apparently began sharing the news with friends over the weekend.
“They are a perfect fit. They are not rushing to get married,” one anonymous source tells Us. Says another: “They are looking forward to a very long engagement together.”
Grande and Davidson, both 24, first publicly confirmed their relationship with a Harry Potter-themed costume snap on Instagram over Memorial Day weekend. Davidson also got a tattoo of a bunny mask, inspired by the artwork for Grande’s 2016 album Dangerous Woman, behind one ear.
Grande previously dated rapper Mac Miller, but confirmed their split last month. Davidson previously dated actress Cazzie David (daughter of Larry), who famously reacted to the news of her ex’s new relationship with a June 1 vacation Instagram captioned, “Been in Africa, what’d I miss ??”
