Pearl Jam frontman and Chicago Cubs superfan Eddie Vedder will be releasing a new 7″ single this week in partnership with his favorite baseball team and Jack White‘s Third Man Records. The single, on red and blue vinyl, will feature Vedder’s 2007 Cubs anthem “All the Way” on its A-side and a 1984 recording of “Go, Cubs, Go,”on the B. It will be available exclusively with Cubs tickets for their home game at Wrigley Field against the Cincinnati Reds July 6.

“All the Way” is the second MLB-centric single for Third Man, following a release for White’s hometown Detroit Tigers last year. The Cubs are something of a conspicuous choice for a followup, given the fact that White’s evidently miserable expression at one of their games turned into a meme a few years ago. I guess he’s gotten over it.
